Description:

Tangier, a Moroccan port on the Strait of Gibraltar, has been a strategic gateway between Africa and Europe since Phoenician times. Its whitewashed hillside medina is home to the Dar el Makhzen, a palace of the sultans that's now a museum of Moroccan artifacts. The American Legation Museum, also in the medina, documents early diplomatic relations between the U.S. and Morocco in an 1821 Moorish-style former consulate.


Itinerary:


Day 1: Arrive To Tangier - Tangir Visit

When you arrive to the airport in the first day, our professional driver will be waiting to pick you up. On the way he will give you an overview about the fascinating program of your journey. Your starting point will be visiting Tangier; "the White City of Strangers" is Morocco’s great cosmopolitan crossroad, at the heart of the history of Mediterranean civilizations. To begin your visit, Tangier’s old medina will be your destination with its Grand Socco. And, since time after time, Tangier’s heritage grew, visiting the main cultural site of the Kesbah; the city’s oldest historic site, that secures the Medina and offers a splendid view of Spain and the Straight of Gibraltar. You will discover all the secrets of the white city and the region around it thanks to your visit to the Caves of Hercules, the common isthmus between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. Later on we take you to the hotel in order to spend your first night of the trip in there.


Day 2: Tangier - Akechour - Chefchaouen

After having a delicious breakfastin the second day, we will head toward the Akechour waterfalls with its natural rock bridge. Hiking, waterfalls, canyoneering through the river is truly a chance to reconnect with nature after recently spending quite a lot of time in cities. The river was actually located in a canyon, and this canyon was covered in trees and foliage. It will be surely a welcome surprise when you will have a happy meal for lunch in the shade and enjoy the magnificent sceneries around. After lunch, we rush out toward chefchaouen which is founded by Moulay Ali Ben Moussa. Nicknamed the “holy city” for its numerous religious buildings, Chefchaouen’s medina is far and away the prettiest in the Rif region.The blue pearl is bounded by forests, the most fantastic valleys, picturesque peaks and gorges.Its Berber and Rif merchants sell a large range of spices. You’ll find the colors of women’s foutas, a piece of fabric worn in the Rif women over their skirts, stunning. Just don’t miss to take memorable pictures with those traditional clothes of the local people. The medina and its maze of winding narrow shaded streets are perfect for exploring without losing your way. Passing through the medina’s small squares, soak in the picturesque charm of these blue doored houses and their flowery patios. The Kasbah is a natural haven of freshness in the heart of the city. Don’t hesitate to pause in and unleash your cameras’ lenses. Later on we will take you to your booked accommodations so as to spend a peaceful night in tranquility.


Day 3: Chefchaouen - Fes

The third day of our journey comes. It’s better to wake early so as to enjoy the panoramic view of the sunrise and have a delicious breakfast. Our next destination is the scientific capital city of Morocco; Fes. There is nothing more fulfilling than being blown away by an experience of travelling a long way in the north of the Moroccan kingdom. Crossing plenty of fabulous sites and places along the way and make short stops to get some rest and refresh ourselves, we reach the Morocco’s cultural capital; Fes is also a pearl of the Arab world. In the northern part of the country, between the sea and the Middle-Atlas, this eighth century museum city is the crown jewel of the four imperial cities. Automatically, we will take you to the reserved hotel to have a warm shower and get some sleep for a peaceful night in there.


Day 4: Fes Visit

In the morning of the fourth day, and after having a delicious breakfast, you will begin a guided tour around the old Medina of Fes. One of the world’s largest walled city with its giant ramparts. You will explore the narrow streets lined with mounds of spices, fresh fruit intricately woven Berber carpets and many other art objects the country. This tour will allow you to visit the cultural and historical sites including the 9th century Karouine mosque and University, where the greatest scholars of the kingdom had been graduated, and the BouInaniaMedersa as well as also the tomb of the city founder "MoulayIdriss II".Dar el-Magana is another site deserving a stop by.It is a fourteenth century water clock.After lunch in one of the traditional restaurant in the old Medina, we carry on to visit the Najarine Fountain, the Old Harem and the Batha Museum. Yet to finish the tour we will visit the ceramics cooperative to discover the traditional Moroccan crafts. Without forgetting to stop for a moment of meditation on the panoramic view of the Medina at the sunset before going back to your accommodations to spend another night in there.


Day 5: Fes - Ifrane - Midlte - Errachidia - Merzouga

After waking up early in the Fifth day and having a delicious breakfast, and enjoying the sunrise warmth, we leave Fes for Merzouga; the gate of the great red desert. Passing through many famous cities and villages such as Ifrane and crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains. Most of the day will be spent winding your way through the amazing forests, and Berber villages as you cross the Atlas Mountains, then we begin to descend towards the Sahara Desert. Half way, you will stop for lunch in Midelt small city, famous for its fossils and rocks, we will continue through Ziz Valley. At the feet of the Erg Chebbi dunes, exist a little Saharan village in south eastern Moroccoin the Tafilalet Valley. The Tafilalet oasis is the world’s biggest palm grove in which the date and palm trees are quite beautiful.And what make the adventure more attractive is venture into the erg Chebbi and its mysterious sea of dunes’ golden sand ridding on a camelback to enjoy a special night in a Berber stylish nomad tent under the starring sky in the full desert.


Day 6: Merzouga - Rissani - Boumalen Dades

Riding back from the bivouac of erg Chebbion camels, we arrive to your hotel in Merzouga in the Sixth day. Thereyou can have a warm shower to get rid of the desert dust and change your clothes. After having a delicious breakfast we head toward Boumalendades. A unique site with some surprising shapes and lights and vibrant colors in high Dades Valley between the towns of BoumalneDades, Surely, your cameras’ lenses are always ready to take fascinating images of the beautiful sceneries of the M’Goun Mountain which is a part of the High Atlas range and its preserved charming little Berber villages. At the mouth of the upper Dades valley, Boumalenedades are located at the edge of a desert plateau as an old passage of transhumance. Don’t worry, you will live a moment of utter peace and relaxation thanks to the spiritual night that you are spending in mystery and melancholy.


Day 7: Boumalen Dades - Tizi N'tichka - Marrakech

After having a delicious Berber breakfast and enjoying the sunrise warmth of the Seventh day, we leave Boumalenedades for Marrakech. Crossing the High Atlas’ most beautiful sites and the craggy mass of rocky peaks with the highest summits of the Atlas chains.Reaching the most spectacular paved mountainTizin’Tichka pass in Morocco that lead to the most celebrated city in the southern morocco. A short stop to get some beautiful pictures to memorize the unforgotten moments of your journey as its end is near by reaching the red city of Marrakech at the sunset. So we will take you directly to your reserved accommodation and let you have a warm shower and get some sleep in there.


Day 8: Marrakech - Airport

The last day of your long journey comes like a fall after a beautiful summerthat we do not want to see it ends but time does not go back and the convoy continues anyway. The moment of separation has come and it’s time to take you to the airport for the formalities for your flight back to your home country.
